The exhibition "Latitudes: Latin American Masters from the FEMSA Collection" is an expression of the philanthropic work of Fomento Economico Mexicano, a prominent industrial group headquartered in the northern Mexican state of Nuevo Leon that, along with its productive entrepreneurial activities, has sought to contribute to the better understanding of Mexican culture beyond our national borders. Founded in 1890 in Monterrey, Mexico, FEMSA became the leading Latin American beverage firm, through the successful operation of three business units: FEMSA Cerveza, who manufactures Sol, Tecate, and Dos Equis; Coca-Cola FEMSA, the second largest bottler of Coca-Cola in the world; and FEMSA Comercio, the largest chain of convenience stores in Latin America. FEMSA's art collection has been recognized as one of the most important private collections in Latin America, with more than 1,0000 works of art. Through an active program of traveling exhibitions, FEMSA shares their collection with the most diverse communities in Mexico and abroad, thus fulfilling their commitment of promoting interest in art and education. The exhibition "Latitudes" meets the aforementioned characteristics with a representative selection of works created by artists whose genius and talent distinguish them as great masters and exponents of extraordinary aesthetic languages. The exhibition features 41 paintings, dating from the early 20th century to the 1980s, by Latin America's most celebrated artists. 41 color representations, 100 pages. English, Spanish. Soft Cover.
